Answer: I think I know exactly what it is: there’s going to be this mesh of two really strong feelings, familiarity and a new start. I can have a second chance to do my design work at the best school for me, make a ton of new friends, live on my own, become almost fully independent, and start preparing myself for the real world and the rest of my life.

But there’s also going to be this really strong feeling of returning to a place I love. I’ll know where to go if I need anything, I know my way around the city, I know how the people act and talk, I know different words to use. I even have a few friends that I’m extremely excited to see again. So while I get to start over and have a new life, I can do it in a place I already know and love. I’m so excited that it’s hard to explain exactly why.

I’ve come to a decision: anyone who thinks it stupid that I’m moving to nz, or thinks it’s not a good idea, or just isn’t happy for me in general, is someone who really doesn’t care about my happiness, and therefore who’s opinion doesn’t matter to me
